Download Instructions:

1) Enter your email address and download code in the fields below.

2) Select your operating system (i.e., PC or Mac).

3) Enter the letters displayed in the verification box.

4) Click “Download”. The file size of the application is approximately 60MB. Depending on your internet speed, the application should take about a minute to download. Download formats: EXE (PC) and ZIP (Mac).

5) Please take note of where you are downloading the file to on your computer. The location will vary depending on the operating system and internet browser you are using. It is recommended that you save the application directly to your desktop. Further information on locating downloaded files is available in the table below.

Technical Requirements and Supported Systems:

The downloadable Mechanisms in Hematology desktop Application runs on Windows and Mac OS.

To download and run the Application on your computer we recommend:

  • At least 1GB of RAM
  • At least 120MB available hard drive space
  • PC: Windows 7 and 8 (32- and 64-bit)
  • Mac: OS X Tiger (10.4) or later

Please note: The Mechanisms in Hematology desktop Application is not compatible with mobile iOS (e.g., iPhone, iPad and iPod) or Android devices.

Locating Your Downloaded File:

Internet Explorer

Click on the download link for the file, and select “Save” in the message window that appears.

From your browser, click the “Tools” icon in the toolbar (look for the icon in the top-right corner of the toolbar) and select “View downloads”.

Locate the downloaded file, “MIH_4ed_PC.exe”, and then copy and paste the file to your desktop.

Note: You can also right-click the download link and select “Save target as…”. A dialog window will appear that asks you to save the file to a location of your choosing. Select your desktop.

Google Chrome

Click on the download link for the file.

From your browser, click the “Customize and control Google Chrome” icon in the toolbar (look for the icon in the top-right corner of the toolbar) and select “Downloads”.

Click the “Open downloads folder” link to locate the downloaded file (e.g., “MIH_4ed_PC.exe” or “MIH_4ed_MAC.zip”). Copy and paste the file to your desktop. Mac users: Double-click the ZIP file to extract the application.

Note: For both PC and Mac, you can also right-click the download link and select “Save Link As…”. A dialog window will appear that asks you to save the file to a location of your choosing. Select your desktop. Mac users: Double-click the ZIP file to extract the application.

Mozilla Firefox

Click on the download link for the file, select “Save File” in the message window that appears.

PC users: From your browser, click the “Tools” option from the menu bar and select “Downloads”. Click the “Open Containing Folder” icon to locate the “MIH_4ed_PC.exe” file. Copy and paste the file to your desktop.

Mac users: Use the Finder application to locate the “Downloads” folder. Locate the file: “MIH_4ed_MAC.zip”. Copy and paste the file to your desktop. Double-click the ZIP file to extract the application.

Note: For both PC and Mac, you can also right-click the download link and select “Save Link As…”. A dialog window will appear that asks you to save the file to a location of your choosing. Select your desktop. Mac users: Double-click the ZIP file to extract the application.

Safari (Mac OS)

Click on the download link for the file. Upon download completion, the “MIH_4ed_MAC.zip” file will automatically extract.

From your browser, click the “Window” option and select “Downloads”. Control-click the downloaded file and choose “Show in Finder” to access the downloaded file. Copy and paste the file to your desktop.
